Hillock O'Carns and New Skye Farms run three cow herds. We have commercial herds of black angus and red angus/composite cattle. The third herd is our registered highland cattle. Purebred highland heifers are available each autumn. Our feeder calves are typically sold in January and February. We generally background and later fed out six to ten steers per year for locker beef. These steers are highland or crossbred highland. The cattle are naturally raised.
